Kick Off: WP6, Circle of Friends

What an inspiring start! The kick-off meeting of Work Package 6 “Circle of Friends” within the Joint Action PRISM clearly showed how much energy and commitment is driving our shared goal of alleviating loneliness among older adults. A big thank you to all partners from 14 countries for the motivated and critical exchange—and to VTKL (Raita Lehtonen and Laura Rautiainen) for the powerful and in-depth presentation of the model!

Looking ahead: Next steps for Work Package 6 “Circle of Friends” of JA PRISM.
Following the successful kick-off, we’re moving forward: The next steps in Work Package 6 “Circle of Friends” are underway—starting a dialogue on loneliness in each participating country, reflecting on how to define it, and identifying relevant stakeholders to prepare for implementation.
The model supports older adults affected by loneliness through a series of structured group meetings lead by trained facilitators.

We’re looking forward to the study visit in Helsinki on December 9–10 and the upcoming Circle of Friends Manual.
